Frequently Asked Questions

Is it free to create a caregiver profile?

Yes. Creating and maintaining a profile is free.

What does "verified" mean?

It means the caregiver has filled in every required field on their profile — including uploading an ID document, photo, rates, and location — and our system automatically confirmed the profile is complete before publishing it. It is not a manual identity check, background check, criminal record check or reference check — employers should still meet in person, review the details themselves, and check references.

How do I contact a caregiver?

Every profile has a contact form. Your message, including your email, goes directly to the caregiver so they can reply to you.

Can care centres use this to hire, not just families?

Yes. Anyone can browse and contact a caregiver for free, whether you’re a family looking for in-home support or a care centre covering a shift or staffing gap. There’s no separate sign-up or fee for employers.

How long does verification take?

It’s instant — as soon as you complete every required field on your profile, including your photo and ID upload, and save it, your profile is automatically verified. Toggle "publish" on to make it visible.

Can I edit my profile after publishing?

Yes — log in any time to update your rates, availability, bio, qualifications or work history.

Are caregivers employees of Caregivers Malaysia?

No — caregivers are independent and self-employed. Caregivers Malaysia is operated by Agensi Pekerjaan GLC, and a caregiver who completes a profile may also be considered as a placement candidate by the agency, alongside being contacted directly by families and care centres.

Who runs Caregivers Malaysia?

The site is operated by Agensi Pekerjaan GLC. See our About page and Terms of Use for details on how the directory works.
